What does SVAMAI actually build?

Three shared layers — a clinical record, the workflows of a clinic day, and an intelligence layer on top — plus the products that sit on them. Osdent is the clinic-side application, 1Dentist is the patient-side network. Both write to the same record, which is why a change in the clinic reaches the patient in real time.

Why start with dentistry?

Because our founders practise it, and because dentistry has the sharpest version of the problem: high-frequency recalls, staged treatment plans, visual records and payment in instalments — largely run on paper in small practices. Solve it there and the same layers generalise to other specialties.

How much does Osdent cost?

Accepted Answer

There is a permanently free plan with records, appointments, billing and prescriptions — not a trial. Paid plans add analytics, video consultation, automated WhatsApp recalls and multi-user access. Pricing is per practice, not per seat.

Is 1Dentist free for patients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Search, booking and record storage cost nothing. You pay your clinic for treatment, and for a video consultation only if you choose to have one.

Can I move my existing patient data in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send us a CSV, an Excel export or even photographs of your registers, and our onboarding team maps and imports it. There is no charge for migration.

Do the apps work on a weak connection?

Accepted Answer

They are built for it. Charting, notes and billing continue offline on device and sync when the connection returns. Media uploads queue rather than fail.

Question 9

Who owns the clinical data?

Accepted Answer

The patient owns their record; the clinic is its custodian. SVAMAI processes it on the clinic’s instructions. We do not sell data, and we do not share identifiable records with advertisers or third parties.

Do you train AI models on patient records?

Accepted Answer

Not on identifiable patient data, and never without an explicit, revocable agreement with the clinic that holds custody. Our clinical evaluation sets are built from de-identified cases reviewed by practising dentists.

Can an AI feature write to a patient’s chart on its own?

Accepted Answer

No. Models draft; clinicians decide. There is no path in our software where a model output is saved to a record, sent to a patient or added to a bill without a clinician explicitly accepting it.

What regulations do you follow?

Accepted Answer

We build to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, map records to HL7 FHIR R4, and follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines for consultation. Business messaging runs on DLT-registered, verified channels.

How do I report a security issue?

Email support@1dentist.com. We acknowledge within one business day, and we will not pursue action against good-faith research that follows our disclosure policy.

Yes. Records, scheduling, prescriptions and webhooks are available to partners today, with public documentation and typed SDKs rolling out. Start on the developers page.
